A statement

I bought Muse's new album Black Holes & Revelations yesterday. It is the band's fourth studio album, and - to be honest - the first where they don't sound like a half-lame copy of Radiohead. It is an exciting and daring piece of work, bombastic and majestic, and the eleven tracks create an interesting mixture of different influences and sounds that comes into one and forms the distinct Muse sound.

Buying CDs is by the way devilish. 179 SEK (24 USD/19EUR) for a 45 minute album is a bizarre prize. I think that it is quite obvious that there is, considering the risk of getting into legal trouble, no notable rationality in buying CDs instead of downloading the copyrighted for free from your random peer-2-peer network (stealing). But it is also important to respect laws that are designed to ensure the artist's freedom to earn money from its creations. And there is of course also a great value in practicing what you preach (although many of today's social democrats ain't with me on this one obviously).
